In today’s age and date, our lives revolve around technology. Technology is being used not only conventionally but being integrated in items like furniture. In order to further this technological and architectural amalgamation, I came up with the idea of Tech-Table.
The table’s main feature is to serve as a waterproof, easy to clean, sleek, modern day coffee table but what makes it unique are the designer features that come with the Tech-Table. It has a multi-purpose gadget and a phone application. The app has many controls for various home-enhancement features of the tech-table, such as light intensity, color, sound system, as well as basic functions like alarm, clock, USB ports and recharge-ability. Wireless chargers could also be added. The table’s design is upgradable.
To add to the convenience of the user, two or more tables can function as a single unit with a single control change within the app. The table owner could simultaneously change the volume of the speakers or light intensity etc. on both tables at once with the help of this feature.
The second prototype, in addition to having enhances version of all the features and functions of the first prototype would also have several tiny invisible plates serving as connection points strategically placed in order to make the table as customizable as possible.
This table fits perfectly in the futuristic human lifestyle showcasing not only sleekness and modernism but also smartness, which is the core aim and idea of Tech-table.
